COURSES WITH SEWING VEE

 Explore the beautiful and meditative craft of block printing — a technique with roots stretching back thousands of years, particularly in India, where it has been used to decorate textiles for everyday use and ceremonial dress.

A wonderfully hands-on process, it’s about slowing down, working with your hands, and embracing the small variations that make each print unique. 

During this session, you’ll learn how to prepare fabric or paper, apply ink to the block, and print patterns with confidence. I’ll guide you through the process step-by-step, sharing tips along the way to help you achieve clear, satisfying prints. There will also be time to experiment, make mistakes, and develop your own rhythm.

You don’t need any previous experience. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own hand-printed piece to take home, along with the knowledge to continue exploring block printing on your own.

Most importantly, enjoy the process. This is a relaxed, creative space, so take your time, ask questions, and have fun with it.

This fun, 2-hour course is perfect for individuals who have limited experience using a sewing machine and would like to create something unique. It is suitable for anyone who can use a sewing machine at the very basic level.

In this session, we will use scraps of fabric and cotton cord to make a beautiful and practical bowl. The quicker you sew, the larger your bowl will be!

This activity is an excellent addition to a young person's birthday party, as everyone will have a project they made to take home!

Join us for our lively and welcoming bi-monthly sewing group, perfect for all skill levels! This is the ideal space to unleash your creativity and connect with fellow sewing enthusiasts. 

We gather in my workshop to share tips, tackle projects, and support one another in our endeavours. Bring your current sewing project, or choose from a selection of fun and easy patterns we provide. Our group is all about collaboration, so feel free to share your ideas, ask questions, and learn new techniques from other members.

We sometimes have a themed sewing challenge to spark inspiration and encourage friendly competition!

Bring your own lunch. Snacks and drinks are provided. Join us for a fun-filled day of sewing, laughter, and friendship.

These sessions are £30 and run from 10am til 4pm.
